Physicians Call for Health Canada to Provide:

1. Wireless safety standards that are more protective of the health of Canadians; and
2. Guidelines and resources to assist Canadian physicians in assessing and managing health problems related to microwave radiation.

There is considerable evidence and research from various scientific experts that exposure to microwave radiation from wireless devices; Wi-Fi, smart meters and cell towers can have an adverse impact on human physiological function. [1] [2]  Many recent and emerging studies from university departments and scientific sources throughout the world support the assertion that energy from wireless devices may be causatively linked to various health problems including reproductive compromise, develop mental impacts, hormonal dysregulation and cancer. In fact, in 2011 the World Health Organization listed microwave radiation as a Class 2B possible carcinogen. [3] and subsequent research strengthened the evidence that a stronger designation may be justified. [4] [5] [6]

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is NOT a health protection organization. The FCC is a corporation listed on Dun and Bradstreet (like ALL the so-called ‘government agencies’) and is headquartered in WASHINGTON DC. The employees of the FCC DO NOT work for the American people!!!! Their job is NOT to protect Americans from harmful Smart Meters and/or other wireless technology. The job of the FCC is to give cover (plausible deniability) and credibility to the wireless industry and protect them from lawsuits.

The following, directly from the FCC website, is a good example of ‘word crafting’ aka propaganda. Spin words and phrases are used ad nauseum. However, the first sentence tells it all.

“While there is no federally developed national standard for safe levels of exposure to radiofrequency (RF) energy, many federal agencies have addressed this important issue. In addition to the Federal Communications Commission, federal health and safety agencies such as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) have been actively involved in monitoring and investigating issues related to RF exposure. For example, the FDA has issued guidelines for safe RF emission levels from microwave ovens, and it continues to monitor exposure issues related to the use of certain RF devices such as cellular telephones. NIOSH conducts investigations and health hazard assessments related to occupational RF exposure.”

Anyone who thinks power companies like AEP function any different than any other corporation is pretty naive. The fact that many of us personally know good folks who work for them, doesn’t alter the nature of the corporate beast.

In the video clip Dr David Carpenter, public health physician, stated that “regulatory agencies” can no longer deny the public health issues related to Smart Meters. Dr. Carpenter is unaware of the real role regulatory agencies play in our society. Many big corporations cite government regulatory agencies in their defense against prosecution for the harm they cause. If the ‘agency’ declared it safe, than it must be so, right? This is called plausible deniability. In the case of the Smart Meter, the electric companies cite the FCC in their defense. Strange since the FCC was not established to evaluate health concerns!

FACT: The polluters hide behind the EPA, Monsanto hides behind the USDA, and Big Pharma hides behind the FDA. The list goes on and on and the story is the same.

Program On Corporations Law And Democracy (POCLAD) exposed the scam that is federal regulatory agencies long ago (1998). Jane Anne Morris wrote a great article for them: //http://poclad.org/BWA/1998/BWA_1998_FALL.html//

• “Regulatory agencies are the corporations’ response to people’s calls for democracy and self-governance. Corporate officials who once hired Pinkerton’s goons to do their dirty work and protect them from an activist public can now rest assured that much of that burden has been assumed by regulatory agencies. They work as the barriers they were designed to be.”

How can the American public put a stop to the pollution of our air, water and soil if we don’t understand the obstacles that have been put in our way? We won’t have any success whatsoever unless we expose the regulatory system behind which all polluters and big corporations hide. By the way, the system was also designed to destroy small independent businesses via regulations small business owners can’t afford to comply with.

Government agencies were not created to keep a watchful eye over the public’s interests! In fact, the ‘regulatory agencies’ are doing exactly what they were created to do – advance political agendas, protect big corporation’s interests and eliminate competition!

To protect our health and our natural environment (whether you live in a city or in the country) we are going to have to become active and expose the ‘agency’ system as a fraud and work to discredit them all.

I absolutely understand that many good people are employed by AEP, and so-called government agencies. The good employees are not the problem, the corrupted system is! In fact, the ‘regulatory agencies’ are doing exactly what they were created to do – protect big corporations from liability and eliminate competition! Let’s not forget that corporations “Have no soul to save and no body to incarcerate”. Flesh and blood people MUST control corporations . . . not the other way around. The safety of cell phone towers is the subject of extensive scientific debate. There is a growing body of scientific evidence that the electromagnetic radiation they emit, even at low levels, is dangerous to human health.

The cell phone industry is expanding quickly, with over 100,000 cell phone towers now up across the U.S., which is expected to increase ten-fold over the next five years. American Academy of Environmental Medicine issues smart meter warning!

The Board of the American Academy of Environmental Medicine opposes the installation of wireless “smart meters” in homes and schools based on a scientific assessment of the current medical literature (references available on request). Chronic exposure to wireless radiofrequency radiation is a preventable environmental hazard that is sufficiently well documented to warrant immediate preventative public health action.

BERKELEY, Calif. – Today, fifty-four scientists from 18 nations who study the effects of radiofrequency (RF) radiation submitted a declaration to Health Canada calling on government’s need to minimize the public’s exposure to this pollutant which is emitted by wireless devices including cell phones, cordless phones, Wi-Fi, broadcast antennas, smart meters, and baby monitors.

The scientists signed a public declaration in which they raise serious concerns regarding Safety Code 6 guidelines finding them obsolete and inadequate to protect the public from RF radiation. The regulatory standards based upon these guidelines allow for wireless devices that emit RF radiation at levels that have been found in many studies to cause cancer, DNA damage, stress responses, and other harmful effects in humans. The document notes that the World Health Organization classified electromagnetic fields at both extremely low frequency in 2001 and RF ranges in 2011 as “possibly carcinogenic to humans.”

Currently, RF exposure guidelines in four countries. China, Russia, Italy, and Switzerland, based on biological effects, are 100 times more stringent than Canadian (and U.S.) guidelines.
